Bus Driver

Drive a school bus full of soccer-loving kids.

Requirements:

Must have a valid CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, and have a clean driving record; must complete a background check and volunteer enrollment paperwork; must submit name, date of birth and driver’s license number in advance of service for insurance purposes.

Days and hours:

Monday-Thursday evenings and Saturdays.

We are looking for several drivers so a rotation schedule can be set up.

Shuttle Driver

Drive a 15-passenger van full of soccer-loving kids.

Requirements:

Must have a valid driver’s license, be 21 years of age or older, and have a clean driving record; must complete a background check and volunteer enrollment paperwork; must submit name, date of birth and driver’s license number in advance of service for insurance purposes.

Days and hours:

Monday-Thursday evenings and Saturdays.

Shuttle Driver Greeter

Ride the shuttle and greet kids and parents.

Requirements:

Warm smile and outgoing personality. Must complete a background check and volunteer enrollment paperwork.

Days and hours:

Monday-Thursday evenings and Saturdays.

We are looking for several greeters so a rotation schedule can be set up.

Team Manager

Manage team paperwork (e.g., attendance records and schedules), assist
with communication between coaches and parents, notify parents and players of cancellations or changes, etc. Must be a strong spiritual leader
and positive role model. Being bilingual is a plus.

Time commitment:

2-3 times per week (1 evening training of 1-1.5 hrs, 1 weekend game, occasional all-star game on weekend)

M,T,W, or TH – 5:30-8:30 pm

Volunteer Coordinator

Assist volunteer manager with volunteer recruitment, assignments, retention, information communication, and recognition. Coordinate volunteers on site.

Time commitment:

2 times per week (1 evening training of 1-1.5 hrs, 1 weekend game)

M,T,W, or TH – 5:30-8:30 pm

Meal Coordinator

Work with volunteer manager to coordinate meal/snacks for Saturday game days; plan, organize, coordinate Sunday meal (when needed); assist with special event meals

Time commitment:

1-2 times per week

Event Assistants

Photographers, cookout helpers, special event helpers

Time commitment:

1-2 times per month (as needed)

Setup and Tear Down Crew

We are in need of people who can help setup/tear down tables for the player and volunteer registration areas. As well as help with field setup/tear down with goals and field lining if needed.

Requirements: Must complete a background check and volunteer enrollment paperwork.

Days and hours: SAT- 7:30-9am (Set up); 1-2pm (Tear down)

 

Discovery Nights

Discovery Nights provide an opportunity to get to know ANSA players on a deeper level, sharing with them the truth of God’s Word in a fun and interactive environment.  Group games will be played, dinner will be provided, and a small group Bible-based lesson will be shared.  Discovery Nights are offered once per month at different locations in the greater Houston area.

Food Workers

Work with a Life Coach to plan and organize meals for Discovery Nights.  Help serve food to the children, youth, and other volunteers.  Assist in any clean up afterwards.

Requirements:

A servant’s heart to work behind the scenes with food planning, preparation, service, and clean up.  Must complete a background check (if 18 years old and up) and ANSA’s volunteer enrollment process.

Time commitment:

1 time per month

Group Activity Leaders

Work with a Life Coach to plan and organize the activities for Discovery Nights.  Help lead the games with the children and youth during the event.

Requirements:

Fun, energetic, and creative individuals who can help plan theme-based nights and who enjoy working with children and youth.  Must complete a background check (if 18 years old and up) and ANSA’s volunteer enrollment process.

Time commitment:

1 time per month

Days and hours:

FRI – 5-8 pm

 

Small Group Leaders

Work with a Life Coach to plan and write the Bible lesson each month.  Help lead a small group with the children and youth during the event.

Requirements:

Must be a Christian with basic Bible knowledge and have a heart for the Word of God, children, and youth.  Must complete a background check (if 18 years old and up) and ANSA’s volunteer enrollment process.

Time commitment:

1 time per month

Days and hours:

FRI – 5-8 pm

Coach

Lead practices and games, teach soccer fundamentals, encourage positive atmosphere, and promote teamwork. Coaches should have soccer playing and/or coaching experience.

Time commitment:

2-3 times per week (1 evening training of 1-1.5 hrs, 1 weekend game, occasional all-star game on weekend)

Assistant Coach

Game Assistants (Refs / Scorekeepers / Ball Kids)

Referees must have a soccer background. Scorekeepers will be trained.
Youth volunteers ages 11 and up are especially encouraged to participate in this area. Must arrive 15 minutes before game time.

Time commitment:

1-2 times per week (primarily on weekends for games)

SAT/SUN – TBA
